First came cancer w/no Heath Insurance...lost everything...worked my way back...IRS says I failed to pay...cancer treatment vs. Taxes...OK...I owe them...then I discover I have a heart arrhythmia...I work for a non-profit...yikes...co-pays...can someone help me...PLEASE!

He should be able to qualify for Medicare. If he isn't on it then go to the Department of Human services and sign him up, he may qualify for other programs also. Has he signed up for Disability?

Is there any more help for the good at heart. I have explored all endevours and I am still a poor mother of 5. I just lost my grandmother yesterday. They say that I looked and acted just like her. Whats so messed up about this situation is that I felt numb when we got the call. I felt nothing at all. My dad is in the mist of a nervous breakdown and I'm trying to hide the fact that I am biPolar. I cannot do crap. I wish I had a home of my own so that she could have been at home with me I'm a CNA for goodness sake. I want to open my own facility honestly so that I can make sure there is no abuse to elderly people. She died alone and in pain that is so heartless. For anyone who has been listening.... I've been able to put off his surgery thanks to a second medication.  Sammy will need his surgery, but now they are saying we may be able to wait until next summer... whew...  So  now I have a year to come up with the money.  Good thing too since I haven't had much luck.  He's doing really well all things considered.  I applied for a "medical loan", but was denied.  Ironically, now we both await surgery.  His is way more important though.  Mine is minor in comparison and is only 1/3 the cost.  Anyway, I appreciate the emails I have gotten.  Thank you

I am thankful for what you had written.  It made me stop and think.  I do have alot to be thankful for.  When I am unsure of what to "exactly pray for" I ask God to help me, I am just to troubled or hurt to put into words "exactly what help or understanding I am tring to receive or convey.

Reaching Up To Heaven

I see children reach up their hands to their mothers, eager to get their attention. It reminds me of my own efforts to reach up to God in prayer.

The early church stated that the work of the aged is to love and to pray. Of the two, I find love to be the most difficult, and prayer to be the most confusing. My infirmity lies in not know the exact thing for which I ought to pray. Should I pray that others will be delivered from their troubles-or or that their troubles will go away? Or should I pray for courage to carry on through the difficulties that belabor them?

I'm comforted by Paul's words: “The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses” (Romans 8:26). Here the apostle uses a verb that means, “to help by joining in an activity or effort.” God's Spirit is joined to ours when we pray. He intercedes for us “with groaning which cannot be uttered.”

He is touched by our troubles; He sighs often as He prays. He cares for us deeply-more than we care for ourselves. Furthermore, He prays “according to the will of God” (v27). He know the right words to say.

Therefore, I need not worry about getting my request exactly right. I need only to hunger for God and to reach up, knowing that He cares.--David Roper

Hi, I am not in the best spirits right now. I feel like I am nearing the end of a long road.

I had a heart attack in 2002 and again in 2004, since then I have done pretty good. I became a partner with 4 other guys and started a company. In 2006 the company did great. in 2007 the company basically went down the drain. While trying to save it i put every thing I had into trying to save it. I took no paychecks at all in 2007. I lived off of savings and credit cards. I am now out of savings and credit cards maxed out. The company is now gone. My credit is under 400. I will proibably lose my house and my truck in the next few months. I can no longer afford to buy the heart medications and the dr thinks he needs to go back in and check for blockages If I could afford the $30,000.00 to have it done. I have sold almost everything I have to try to make it. I have around 80 resumes out with no prospects for a job.

At this point I feel like I am either going to end up on the street or just not wake up due to my heart.  

I am 58 years old and 100% disabled and going back to college for networking. I raised my kids and my son died 2 years ago Feb 13th 2 days before my Birthday. My daughter is living in Texas.and I live in Flint,Michigan. I went threw a divorce in 2002 and paid for that with credit cards are payments are 1/2 of what I get a month and sold every thing I could even my truck to pay for that and I still owe all most 12,500 dollars on 2 credit cards and Now Consumers Power is going to shut my power off for $126 if I goto Family indpendance. they will pay that but what about next month and the month after. I paid all I could and paid all my other bills as Im on SSI and dont have any thing else I can give them. I hope some one can find in there heart to help me. my email is chard21549@excite.com

I am 24 years old, female. i inherited high blood pressure from my mother. I had a mild heart attack back in october of 2006. i have approximately $4200 in medical bills from the emergency room.

since they charge xrays and medicine separate from everything else, i have about 6 negative accounts showing up on my credit report, i cannot pay them off obviously, i have made a couple hundred dollar payment already, but its hard when my rent is 1050 a month and i am trying to go to school and pay for that as well.

i want to get this cleared up asap so i can push forward with going to buy a house instead of wasting money on renting and apartment. id love to have it clearted up in the next 2 months, but without help, its not possible.

if anyone can offer help, even just advice id greatly appreciate it, i wont straight up ask for money, but it would help, although ill accept even advice right now too.

My parent's have both worked hard thier whole life. My dad became disabled around 3 years ago. He recieved a new heart on January 18, 2007. He now has kidney problems and liver. They are saying they will not pay for all his medicine. It will become such a hardship on them. He has dealt with his heart condition for 30 years. He has open heart surgery, several strokes, congestive heart failure. I could go on and on. I am asking for help to pay for medicine.

I am a 39 year old divorced mother of 2 in DIRE need to surgery to repair a ventricular septal defect (hol in the ventricular wall).  I have become symptomatic and need the surgery before pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) and damage to the heart valves occur.  Because of this defect I am uninsurable.  I can provide proof and verification of this problem.  Any and all help would be appreciated more than you know.  God Bless.
